Just a quick ?
Can anyone tell me if tricos hatch on yellow creek?
Im thinking they might on the upper parts with the limited canopy.
i was there on Friday but not early enough to see any.

Thanks for any input

I heard for years that tricos hatch on the upper part of the stream above Loysburg, - where most of it is posted, - but they don't hatch in the catch and release area.
Lately, a few other guys have told me that they do hatch in the catch and release area. I've never been there early enough to check things for myself though.

I was on Yellow a few weeks ago in the FFO section. There were definitely tricos doing the old mating dance around mid-morning, but I didn't see a major spinner fall and the fish never got into any rythym with the tricos. I had most of my luck with beetles. My buddy caught a nice fish on a hopper.
