Any grannoms Souh or East of Central Pa yet? Thanks Hope you all have fun tomorrow.

Haven't seen any, are you seeing them up in central PA?

LJ,

Someone on the FFP site reported seeing grannoms hatch on the Letort. I didn't even know they hatched there. I would expect to see them in the next week or so in Central PA.

I've been seeing a few caddis flying around. I didn't manage to catch any of them but I don't think they were Grannoms. They looked a little smaller than Grannoms. But there are bugs hatching, which is good.

starting o see a few on Penns!

What seperates a regular caddis from a Grannom, just size? How big does a caddis have to be to be considered a grannom?

I have seen some caddis hatching locally, some fairly large size but don't think they would be considered grannoms

Here is a good run down:

While the name may be occasionally misapplied to a number of different species, I think it is properly applied to the "Brachycentrus" family, which may include several different species.
