Are the suckers running yet?

Just curious if anyone knew if the suckers are spwaning yet. Ive seen a few in streams but think it may still be early. Maybe they will run with all this rain.

Yes, they were everywhere this past week. Big ones, too.

The lake erie tributaries are packed full of them.

So does this suggest a matching of the hatch? I only fish the winter in Erie( when I do get up there) so just wondering...

Does anyone here gig? or catch them when they run? A buddy of mine uses them for catfish bait.

They were definately active on the Little Lehigh wednesday and yesterday on Spring.

It does suggest a hatch - fish a sucker spawn behind the schools of suckers and hold on.
