Orvis Encounter 8WT 9FT

Just ordered my first 8WT rod and went with the Orvis encounter combo deal. Does anyone have any experience with this setup. Im going to be using it on a Steelhead trip in Pulaski NY at the end of April and cant wait to go!. I am kinda new to fly fishing but my previous experiences with my other Orvis rod and gear have been great so far.

I was at A&G Outfitters last week and asked then about the Encounter.

Did not cast it personally, but was told it was a good casting rod. Greg did say he thought an upgraded line would make it even better.

That's a close to a review as I have heard.

Ill have to post a review of the rod after a few trips to provide alittle more information on it in case anyone else is interested
