salt boxes

Saw these in Joann frabrics on the way home from my trip. Photo boxes..Great for warm and saltwater flies. I add some foam and they hold quite a lot of flies. Can be mounted on a shooting basket with enough flies for the day..

they are 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 1 1/8 boxes. I'm think tricos henry, Lou could have enough till he dies...

Sandfly, great idea, thanks for sharing. How do you attach these to your stripping basket? Would be nice to have fly boxes in a backpack on the beach, then having a few flies at hand on the basket to change quick if needed.

Very nice...I found what looks like a very similar box style at Staples the other day. I also scored some clearance pencil boxes for larger saltwater flies. I added some foam, although not nearly as fancy as your stuff. I'll try and get a picture up later this evening.

for stripping basket, just glue or velcro the lid to inside side of basket. 2 should be enough for a day of fishing, unless you are like me and carry dozens of flies....make sure you put them on sides or closet to body, so line doesn't catch..
