just a little advice.

i just bought 1000 gold countersunk beadheads to tie size 14 nymphs off ebay for $16.60. i figure that will keep me busy for a while.

i figure 25 for 3.00 or 4.00 i saved my over 100 dollars

You only save that amount of money if you use them all.

You've got a lot of tying to do.

i will i tie almost everynight. kind of addicted. plus tying for buddies and stuff like that. i mean it would only be 125 flies worth if i bought them from gander.

maybe i will make a bead necklace to to get rid of them ;-)

Just hope there drilled right or you will be making a bead necklace.

That is one problem I have had with buying beads from ebay. The holes are not drilled nicely at all. There is only one seller that sells quantity that I have had good beads from and they have their own site too. (FishWest.com)

Let us know when you find a thousand tungsten beads for $17. That would get me excited.

I have a GREAT source for tung bh. Let me dig it up. Not $17 for 1,000 but still pretty good price, especially if you are using them to dredge the bottom with double BH stone flys and loose them every 3 minutes.

Even cheaper by the 1000ct. Happy shopping!!!!!
These are produced by Hareline.

If anyone would like to pool on some of the 1000 ct items let me know. I already have one guy interested. Maybe a couple more so we can split order 4 ways?

I bought beads from thefishguy.com and the gold plating peels right off after a few casts I was pissed and will never go cheap for beads again.

Lucky for me I've been doing better on non bead head flies and copper beads.

Then again I'll never pay up for tungsten again either. Shot is much cheaper.

I'd split an order, however the site is "CLOSED".....

Any idea if this is temporary or has it been like this for awhile?

A great source for beads - cheapest I've found, and they're the good ones (drilled correctly for fly tying).

I'm too cheap for beads, but these prices make it hard to resist.

gfen - we actually took a 5 minute break from talking about you at the Jam to buy beads - I convinced my contact for them to bring a bunch along. We saved the cost of shipping, and were allowed to mix and match sizes and colors in the 1000 pc assortment.

The reach of the network is long, indeed....... ;-)

I used this guy for the last order.

The natural unfinished tung beads are particularly a good value. The finish on the colored beads seems durable. They are well manufactured and if you look a the packaging you can obviously tell major distributor that he sells them to.

Lower pricing for large quantities and free shipping over $24.

I'm glad to hear the bead party went well. You forgot to post the pics that you forwarded of the bead jam.

jdaddy - that's the wrong bead party. This is more like it:

In!

Beads do not apply to dry/wet snobs such as you, thus no party for you.
