Half and Halfs

Just completed a half dozen Half and Halfs, definitely the largest flies that I have ever tied. They are tied on Mustad 1/0 hooks, with 1/30 oz. dumbell eyes and are approximately 5" long. Gonna try to root out some big smallies this upcoming season and maybe even try for pike. I don't know anything about pike fishing at this point, but I have been researching it and think it would be a blast on a fly rod.

I really enjoy tying these large flies. I just get out all of my different colored saddles and bucktails as well as an assortment of flashabou and krystal flash and let the imagination run wild. Here are a few of what I have come up with so far.

Theres a musky pattern the guys up at Musky Country Outfitters came up with called a river pig. Itss a hangtime with dumbell eyes. The H.G.H. version on a half and half. I dusted a nice musky in wisco on it.
