Not sure how many of you folks are familiar with the Maine streamer tyer "Gray Wolf', but he developed about 100 streamer patterns mostly for fishing in Maine.

15 or so of them are published in David Klausmeyers book Tying Classic Freshwater Streamers, a great book if you like the long fly popularized by Carrie Stevens. The book is out of print i believe, but it, along with Hilyards 'Carrie Stevens' book can be picked up for around $30 online. I got both my copies from a seller on another forum.

Anyways. Later in his tying career (he's now retired) he developed a couple streamers using llama hair for the wing. This is one of them. The other i'm gonna tie tomorrow.

Hook is a mustad 3665A size 4
