Fish Head Jig

A friend asked me if I could tie something that resembled a fish head; he wants to use it ice fishing in Minnesota. We'll I've only been tying for a year, but I gave it a try. Its kind of a proto-type. But I'm open for suggestions, comments, etc.

Looks tike and intruder-variation to me. It would probably be good for swining.

I think you captured the impression of a bloody fish head just fine. Let us know how it works out for your friend who is going to use it. Pretty good imitation and different , sometimes different is the big factor.

Add some red marabou to the back of that for more movement.

Why a fish head ??? why not a whole fish pattern ??? never heard of a fish head for ice fishing, salt water yes..

How about trying a little bit of krystal flash slimyrock? I think red or chartreuse would go go. But you chose the colour you want.
