I'm pretty new to fly tying, just started last fall. I've been tying some experimental fun pattern. Just wanted to share, get critiques and thoughts on some of my recent ties. Bent body emerger, brown soft hackle, foam back green mayfly (green drake imitation possibly).

I always enjoy messing around with new patterns. I am sure they will all catch fish. Unfortunately, the second fly will not hold them. Bending the hook in the manner you did will really cost you really opens up that hook which will allow fish to throw it quite easily.

#2 is essentially a Bird of Prey which is a pretty good emerging caddis pupa pattern.

#3 is way too small to resemble any green drake and is similar in form to some midge emergers I use.

What size in general are green drakes, like 4's to 8's? My tie is a size 10 which I knew was small for a green drake.

green drake # 10
