Simply what is the best vise around 100$

Here is a full review of many different vises, just follow the links for your price range at the bottom:

The funny thing about vises, is that everyone has their own preference. I work in a shop and have tied on a lot of different vises, even one that costs $800. My pick is still just the Regal Medallion. My best friend swears by Renzetti's. Another friend will only use his Dyna King. Go to a fly shop, and tie on a couple vises. Find out what you like.

Bought a danvise for pretty well under $100 (on sale), and have really enjoyed it. It is a full rotary vise which can be handy. Only issue I've had is that it's a little cramped behind the hook. I bought an extension arm for like $20 that fits it, and so that problem is essentially solved.

Good advice is to tie on a few.
The Anvil Atlas is a nice vise. though i sold mine (didnt hold bigger hooks >1/0, as i'd have liked. so if you tie a lot of bigger stuff for salt, then perhaps this one isnt for you

I'll second the Danvise. Had one for a few years now as a travel vise and I find myself using it at home an awful lot. But yes, you have to try before you buy.
I collect vises and have tied on a lot of the higher end products. Honestly, if I had to choose just one vise, I would go for the Classic Thompson B. It is absolutely bare bones but holds hooks better than anything else I have tied on. You can usually find them for less than $20.

the griffin spider is the other leading mid-budget choice. unlike the danvise's space age polymer, the griffin looks like it's been assembled from lamp parts so you can feel like you're using a vise made like your very first bowl.
