clarion river

I'll be heading up near Ridgway this weekend for opening day and never fished this area of the clarion river before. And was wondering if anyone could give me some places to try out or another river that is close by that does well on opening day.

If I were you I would try the east and west branch of the clarion river, or elk creek which is right in Ridgeway if you want to stay close to town. East and west branch are great streams to fish and are easily accessible and you can be there from Ridgeway in 15 to 25 minutes depending on where you go. Elk also has great accessibility as well.

The Clarion only has a few spots that you can get to without trespassing. The best way to fish that river is with somebody that has been there before or out of a boat.
