I noticed the last three days the Tully flow has been decent. So I deceid to fish it tomorrow, than I noticed around noon today they released water. What's the reason, there hasn't been a lot of rain the last few days. Can't get a break this summer.

Inflow is still well above normal, so the lake is most likely filling faster than the water can evaporate or be kept at the 290 ft elevation without increasing the discharge rate. Additionally, they may have not changed the discharge rate over the weekend, so they might have had an extra build-up to get rid of today.

What Mike said. Viewing the reservoir plot for Blue Marsh is very useful when trying to understand the dam release :

As of this morning, the inflow to the lake is still above 500 cfs and the pool level is still above the desired 290 ft elevation.

The Tully will be blown out for days.

Man the Tully has been nearly unfishable / blown out for a long while.

I wouldn’t fish it now even if flows were okay, it’s been pretty warm for a while.
