I have been tring toregister on the New Zealand Fly Fishing Forum in preparation for a trip this January--no luck. The problem appears to be a question at the end of the Registration process that asks a question to prevent bots from accesing the site. Example: This is the last connection to our prize_________. So if its not just the memories I assume its what connects us to the cooperative trout at the end of our line? tippet, fly? net? None of these answers work and the suggestion to contact an Administrator is voided by the inability to get on site to see the list of administrators. I would appreciate any help that any one can provide in this registration process.

That is odd, most places use capcha. I tried an incorrect answer then the question changed to " you first need this to participate" or something like that, I entered "license" and it worked.

Thanks Salvelinus I'll try again.

Many Thanks GG there are some great vids at this link. This trip is not entirely devoted to fishing--my family is coming along and there are other interests in the group but I should be able to get a few good days in. I hear that the stream condition in the Northland area near Russell are not very good in the peak of the NZ summer season but I may try the Kai Iwi lakes and hope for some rain and cool weather to improve stream conditions. I may be able to get to Rotorua before flying out of Auckland--a Kiwi friend tells me his Mother used to tickle trout (like noodling) and toss them up on the bank for dinner when he was a boy. I'll stick with the traditional fly patterns and catch and release although I guess in a broad sense thats what his Mom was doing. Thanks again GG.
