Hi all,
I am seeking info on some of Maryland's marginal and/or threatened wild trout waters, particularly south of I-70. I am hoping to gather information that can be used to develop very specific locations that need immediate conservation/restoration efforts. The first step will involve water temperature data collection, which will begin this August.
I am not looking for new fishing spots - I've fished many of them myself, but haven't been in the area long enough to have a grasp of which streams have been seeing declining trout populations and the specific causes of the declines.
If you think you may be able to help, please feel free to send me a PM and I can get into more specifics there if need be. Some of the places I have in mind are too sensitive to be mentioned publicly.
