The source of water for both the Snitz and Conewago creeks is being threatened.

The land in question was, more recently, previously owned by the Pa. Game Commission, but traded through a deal brokered by the former state Republican leadership because it was presented as a means by which to salvage old mining spoil in an enviromentally clean way and provide local jobs and the promise that it would in all likelihood eventually revert to public possession.
I really, really hope this deal falls through. There is nothing good that can come of it.
