3rd Annual Fish N Chips Event Thread, 7/26/14

Good morning everyone. We will use this thread from now until the event to communicate details on the event. Below are the details along with the roster of who is coming and what they are bringing. I've only listed those who have contacted me directly and will add others as I hear back. Please use the PM system to let me know what you will bring and I'll update the list as I hear back. Let's just use this thread to ask questions or barb back and forth for the fun of it. I know several people commented in the other thread that they were coming but I'm only going to add as I hear via PM from you all. As we get closer to the date, I'll also let everyone know a final count so that they know how much to bring. If we get a large turnout, I'll have more than 1 person assigned to the more expensive things so that no one bears too large a financial burden.

I also regret to inform you that April declined my invitation to attend.

When:
Saturday, July 26th from 7am to 1pm
-That said several of us will be there at dawn to see if we can get in some fishing before the event actaully starts, so anyone is welcome to join us at dawn or as H-A likes to tease me, Zero Dark Thirty! :roll:

I can bring paper plates etc like last year but this year I'll remember to take them out of my car before I start fishing.

Or I can bring something different but I need to bring something I can pick up a few days ahead because of my work schedule.

Walked the dogs today from above fish hatchery road to below fly shop......no tricos to be seen and confirmed by Dave!Does a cold winter delay them this long?

Hi Jack - The "benchmark" for the tricos down there has historically been July 5th, so we're not too far off the mark.

If we don't see them in another week or so, I'd be concerned.

Next time you're down there, try flipping some rocks and look for trico nymphs. I'd bet you'd find plenty of them....

I know for a fact another local limestoner has them. Should be any day for L.L. I would think.

I probably will make this but don't want to commit at this time and not bring a food or something that you guys are counting on.
