Yard sale mix up. A long shot I know.

I went to a yard sale on April 14th on Ellis woods Rd in Pottstown Pa.
I bought a Loomis 10wt and a Sage 5wt. Older two piece rods. Both of them are mixed up halves. The tops and bottoms don't match.

I know its a real long shot but I'd love to find who has the other mixed up rods, maybe we could swap parts and all get back to fishable rods.

Hi Fjp,
If you can, contact the host of the yard sale. It's possible in the last two weeks that the other mixed-up purchasers have contacted them, and maybe even returned the non-compatible rod segments.

That is part of the plan too, but both are admittedly long shots. I mailed her a letter today. Showing up at her door really seemed like it may have been too much.

I was thinking the same thing. In my area (admittedly, it's more rural here than where most folks live), you'd know a fair percentage of the people who purchased anything at a yard sale.

Update.
Sent a letter to the address of the sale and received a letter back. I was given a name and a number of a gentleman that had purchased a lot of the rods. Reached out to him and in about a month we are meeting up to see if the mixed up tops can be sorted.
