White flies on the Susquehanna North Branch

The white flies showed up near the Apple Tree boat launch Harding, Pa. Not a major hatch by any means and very few fish were rising. The water clarity is improving and levels are dropping steadily. We should get a decent shot at this hatch in a few days.

I saw them in low to moderate numbers in the stretch just above Harrisburg last week.

There were quite a few last Thursday on the West Branch.

I saw very large hatches 2.5 weeks ago near Port Trevorton. None on the west branch near Lewisburg last night though.
