Tying a few more salmonfly patterns for out west. This one is a cat puke variation. It is supposed to be messy and disheveled. I have a hared time coming to grips with that. Making the extended bodies is fun though.

Just a few different patterns I have been tying. Got some new materials at the Somerset show so gave them some good use. The rock candy caddis is Rich Strolis's pattern. The cut wing dun has a polish quill body coated with clear cure goo in hydro. Looks sweet.

It's been a while since I dug out the saltwater stuff. This was my first try at using Clear Cure Goo today on a Sand Eel pattern. Starting to restock the Striper box.

A new salmon fly I just made uphttp://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y344/benjaminajohn/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-02/3844E677-383E-4BC8-A4F5-664AC3FF8C44_zpshyccffmk.jpg

Some great looking flys you guys are tying.
Here is something I was playing with yesterday. A green drake cripple. Wing is deer hair with a olive green CDC hackle.
Don't know if it will work but it looks fishy. What do you think?
The pic does not represent the true color.

How are y'all taking such clear pictures? My cameras won't focus that close up.

I have some really expensive digital cameras, but I use my phone.
The quality is outstanding. Those cameras just collect dust.

Amen GenCon....I use my cell phone as well (iPhone 5s). I zoom a bit on the fly, focusing it, then gently touch the button. Sometimes it takes a time or two but that's what I do. I also leave the flash off and set up under one of my ceiling lights.

+1. I do exactly the same thing with the 5s as well.
