Turtle soup is good eating. And your PA fishing license allows you to harvest up to 15 per day. Avoid light tippets however
Turtle soup is delicious.
15 per day seems like a crazy high "limit." I wonder how they came up with that number.

Another provision of snapping turtle rega is that a permit is required if the turtles are to be sold, bartered or traded.

Yeah I agree that number definitely seems a bit high. Hell, I’m lucky to see 3-4 per season. But I guess there must be a way to target them.

Was there this weekend and it wasn't quite mid-May kind of fishing. But probably closer to that than your standard mid-September amount of action.
