We talk about how invasive species cause destructive trophic cascades a lot on here. In yellowstone we have the example of invasive lake trout crashing yellowstone cutts and seriously harming bears, eagles, and many other terrestrial predators to the point they were eating each other instead of cutts when the native trout declined.
But this is an example of a good troohic cascade from putting a native keystone species back. It makes me wonder what our state fish and keystone species, native brook trout, is taking with it if it goes.
