During the past several seasons, I have been working on euro nymphing from a boat and helping other anglers with this as well. I couldn't find much literature on the subject so I decided to write up a "How To" guide in order to capture some lessons learned in case anyone was wondering how to go about this tactic.
Euro nymphing from a boat can be accomplished not only from an anchored position, but also while drifting. Yes, there is a learning curve, and the person on the oars does a lot of work at times, but it opens up an entirely new approach to fly fishing most rivers you can get a boat down.
