As he was in most things, LaFontaine was spot on in that article.
 
I have two questions, first he said he clipped a small piece of the adipose why? The second quote was he line hauled struggling brookies onto the stones, does that just mean he was keeping fish? Never heard this term. Thanks for posting, great read.
 
He was a biologist by trade, which probably explains the clipped adipose fin (for DNA analysis).

I think line hauling onto the the stone may have meant he hooked some dinks as he was picking up for a backcast, and inadvertently threw them behind himon the backcast. I know I've done it.
