Golden Drake

Found this tattered up guy yesterday on my back deck. I assume it’s a golden drake? Guessing a size 8. Living about 1 mile from the Susquehanna, is it possible that’s where it came from? There are no cold water trout streams within 12 or so miles of my location.

Looks like one to me. Not uncommon on lakes either as they are burrowing mayflies.

I mile from Susqie is nothing.

They are popping out of the Juniata big time, too..

Thats the problem, they are invasive and the PAFBC continues stocking them over native species. It is ecologically irresponsible.

Stocked… you can tell because of the tail. Too much rubbing up on hatchery walls.
