First musky (x2!)

Was fishing a creek in upstate NY over the weekend for pike - I've caught 7 or 8 of them in this waterway, nothing especially large, but the action is reliable. To my surprise, I caught two juvenile muskies instead of the usual pike! I did not know they were present in the stream. They were really stunning fish, and I got to watch both of them turn into fish missiles to eat the fly. Certainly reignited the desire to one day catch a much larger one.

Near Buffalo. These fish are probably from the Niagara River population of 'skis...or the tributary of the river that this spot flows into.
