Looks nice. Prefer white poppers for small mouth.

Looks good. I like your choice of a round bend, wide gap hook. Any thoughts about making them with a mouth rather than a flat face? I'll split the difference. I like either yellow or white, but I've probably caught more on yellow. Another color I like is chartreuse.

Not sure how you would do it on balsa. Definitely would need a white base coat.

with a bit called a ball gouge, rotary gouge, rotary ball and a few other names.

Nice, what hook size? Summertime low water river levels I like to go small.
Yellow on bright days, green when cloudy, white can match the hatch sometimes.
