Catching Small Aquatic Insects

You may know this. You can use an elastic paint strainer over your net to capture them.
One 5 gallon paint strainer. One regulation fishing net. Cover net with the strainer and you're ready to catch those little guys and girls. I got mine in the paint department at Lowes. Two for about $6

Since I don't much carry a net, I used to resort to a goldfish net - used to cost a quarter.

Could probably double as an effective mosquito head net in a pinch too?
