I was fishing at Buffalo creek today and there was pretty much a constant hatch of caddis. I estimated the size to be about 18, but anything in my box that I tossed was pretty much ignored. (I caught some and\or got attention from green WB's and small Muddler's)
A fellow who fishes this often stated he caught 5 from one pool using (what he said) was a white size 18 caddis pupa with (as he said) "orange on top." I can only assume he ment either an orange thread head, or a small amount of orange dubbing.
But, my question is has anyone on any stream used a fly as I've described with any success?
