This is for the guys who are planning to fish here this weekend.

I fished from about 5:30 til 8:00 around Masemoore Rd. A few fish were rising here and there but nothing too consistent. Started with a BWO with a PT dropper. No luck. Switched the dropper to an ant and had a hit when is swung in the current but no hook up. After a while switched to a hopper, nothing (may have been to large, size 10 I think). Then switched to an EHC. Had about a dozen hits but only landed three. Very explosive strikes! Around 7:30 a few yellowish orange flies started to appear. I could not catch one but sort of looked like a stonefly while it flew in front on me. The tubers, canoers, and swimmers made an apperance and I suppose will be out in force this weekend. Good luck to those going.

Steve

Thanks for the report.

Hopefully we can get into them despite the swimmers and whatnot.

FYI

I have never encountered any tubers upstream of the bridge at Falls Road. The last time I fished there, all of the tubers were unloading at the bridge at Falls Road, but walking downstream to put in.

Tubers were putting in below the dam and floating down through toward the pocket water when I was there.

This may have been because it was so high over the weekend, but don't rule it out.
