This brown was so mature that he was growing whiskers.   On a more serious note, carp are a great fish on a fly rod. This was my first of the season and he took a large nymph presented in his feeding path.

I spent a day fishing for carp in the paradise section of spring creek, i could have caught 10 brownies in the time it took to land one carp. it was fun though, spookier amd harder to approach then the trout. good luck

Neat photo! Not to knock on trout photos but we sure have plenty of photos of small wild brown trout. It's nice to see some photos of different types of fish....even "brown" trout.

i second fishidiot's comment. It would be neat to have sub division's of the fish category i.e warm water, salmonand steelhead trophy trout, native's and (a word less degrading than average size) trout
