That is an absolute trophy FI especially at this time of the year. How slow were you working your fly? Water temp? Again great fish!!!

Thanks. The colder months of the year, namely late March and Nov are usually when I get my biggest bass of the year. When water temps drop into the fifties I usually ditch the poppers and nymphs and focus on fishing minnow type flies low and slowly in a hopping pattern along the bottom, or just off the bottom. With water temps in the 40s you want to slow it to a crawl - probably about 10 seconds to drag a foot or so. Real slooooowww.
