I released this one up and over the Letort Mouth Falls tonight. Caught it on a dark brown bugger in the high off-colored fast water. Crazy dot pattern on this one. My guess is that it was a stocked fish from the lower Hogestown Run which gets stocked by the Mechanicsburg Sportman's Association. Has anyone seen that many dots on a upper Letort brown?

While Letort is known for sparsely spotted fish, particularly in the upper reaches, there are many heavily spotted browns like this throughout the Letort - they're common.

I agree with Nightstalkers thought of Hoagland run. For some reason, except for Trindle, those smaller tribs over there produce fish with that translucient, reddish look around their mouths. I can only imagine something in the makeup of the water.

Wow great fish! I just recently starting fishing the Letort with hopes of hooking a fish of that quality... Guess it's time to fish something larger than a size 16 huh? Lol, nice fish dude
