Well, it is hard to say.
The fish came from a large watershed and it gets stocked in some sections. This fish was a average fish for this watershed, stocked or not.
It does have some small tears in some of the fins but it also has a white tip on the one. If I had to guess, i would say im 80% sure its wild.

Either way, Ill say this was one of the hardest fighting trout that I have ever caught. Leaped out 4 times and would not give up. The few moments he stood still are captured in the pic. After I snapped the photo he flapped himself 1 foot off the ground and right back in the stream.LOL

Ive truely fallen in love with this stream.

Nice looking fish, but I would vote holdover. Not enough (any?) red on him. I have seen stocked trout from this year even that had the yellow fins and underbelly, and in one case, even had the blue eye spot.

I can understand why you feel that way.

However if you would get a closer look at many fish in this watershed.....especially anything bigger (17+) they lose there red spots almost entirely.
