Nice J...pretty fish! Had some teeth in those black gums!

Walt's worm or slumpbuster? clear water or high muddy water?

You need some bamboo with that medalist, though!

 Re: Limestone brookie

This stream doesn't ever get muddy, since it's a true spring run.

I don't know if I'll ever get the bamboo bug, but the reel is there in case I do. It pairs nicely with my 4wt for now!

Regarding the teeth, I have a pretty nasty index finger from this guy. That'll show me to forget my hemos.

This is, by far, the largest wild brook trout I have ever caught.

Fantastic fish Jay. I hope to try a few places to get one 12"+ this year. That one looks to be well over that mark. Did you get a tape on him?

I'll have to measure from the base of the grip to those markings on the rod. He's over a foot for sure.

Haven't cared to measure the rod to see how big he was. I know he's the largest I've caught, and he darted out and smashed a streamer like a shark. Good enough for me. I'll see if I remember to estimate the measurement tonight.

Looking at it I say 12-13 inches. Hard to tell off a pic. The fish is a beauty to say the least and one Im sure Jay will remember for a lifetime.

Wonderful fish!
