I sure hope this is an indication of the kind of fishing season I'm going to have this year. First PA Trout of the year, and the overall largest wild brook trout I've ever caught or seen. I think Fishidiot may have posted a picture of this trout a couple months ago. It measured around 16 1/2, and the girth was unreal!!

That's an awesome brookie right there! Congrats. Looks like a spring creek wild brookie? That's the biggest I've ever seen in Pa. I did see/miss one roughly that lenght last year up in Potter, but it surely wasn't that fat! Again, congrats.

That brookie did come from a limestone spring creek. I will not name it, but anyone that has fished it probably knows where it came from. It certainly is not a secret stream, by any stretch of the imagination. Thanks for the comments.
