Not this time-just a little too much current to hold trout in such cold water. The first time I fished here was last summer, I threw a spinner under that rock and the second cast got nailed by a 9" native. Haven't caught one there on the fly rod yet, can't get the perfect cast in there

Nice log upstream of the rock and about two feet deep underneath. Spinners draw 'em out Plus they're dumb unpressured natives!

Ok heres what you do. Go way around the stream and basically crawl up to the rock right beside the hole on the right side of the picture. But STAY BEHIND THE ROCK AND LOW. Lift rod tip and dip bugger in the hole. Jig it under the rock....catch fish

I've tried crawling on top of the rock and dropping it over the edge. But it never occured to me to fling it underneath from the UPSTREAM side. DUH!
