North East Georgia. It actuall starts in NC and is in the Chatahochee National Forest .It has a lot of spring fed tribs and while the main river gets a lot of pressure the tribs are barely touched. The tribs do have brookies in them and the occasional brown or rainbow will work upstream and be a pleasant surprise to someone looking for natives.
There are 3 campgrounds on the river itself which are well maintained.Early spring, late March or early April are prime time to fish the Tallulah and in October the crowds thin out and the scenery and the fishing really are spectaluar.

It's nice that even down in Florida you are only one state away from the Southern end of the Appalacians. Don't think I could live in a flat landscape. Nice color in the stream.
