over 8". I caught all of mine on dry flies today. we got about 12 or 13 total fish, it wasn't too bad for winter

Surprised nobody commented on these yet. Great shots of these brookies in their element. Love to see their colors and great idea with the tank to show them so clearly.

These are def not fish out of water shots! I like!

I was amazed when I saw the tank and definately like the idea.

I just wonder how awkward is it to carry it. I usually try and pack as light as I can.

I agree MKern.

I use a single strap sling back pack. It has plenty of room but that thing looks bulky. However i might try it sometime just to see how it goes. If i go fishing with Squaretail again, maybe we can just strap it to chickies back lmfaooooooo

Thanks guys! Yeah, they are a bit awkward to carry but they weigh very little. they're really hard to find in the correct dimensions. I wanted one 12" long 6" high and 3" wide but I ended up using this one. It's 8" long 5" high and 5" wide. I can fit up to a 10 incher in this one but as you can see in this picture anything over eight goes from corner to corner.

Tight Lines!

Neat photos and unique. I've seen other fishing photographers and artists use a clear tank for photographing and sketching fish and insect specimens and always thought it would be fun to try. Thanks for the encouragement - think I'll have to get one.
