I thought this was pretty amazing looking. I love the vibrant red spot on the adipose fin. I got him on a size 20 BWO parachute after a long drift.

This image is from a tributary to the Susquehanna River in York County, PA.   I caught my nephew looping his line in mid-cast.  Whenever I see this image it makes me think of the joy of fishing a small stream and the peace I find in the solitude: The essence of fly fishing for me.

One of the gems you find in the SGLs.  I am not a photographer, but I have been writing a blog for about 15 months and taking a lot more pics than I used to of my adventures.  I have returned to this one a lot, maybe because it's a favorite spot or maybe because of the full early summer greenery and the mystery of what is in that hidden hole (it was an 8 inch wild brown every time, so far.

I've heard a lot of discussion regarding the origins of Spring Creek Rainbows in all the different stretches from Milesburg to Benner and beyond. I'm sure the majority are hatchery escapees, along with some fish that run up from Bald Eagle, and possibly some reproduction. Regardless, they are beautiful and hard fighting fish.

From recent Florida trip - first time I have caught these, found them feeding, toss a clouser in, strip as fast as possible and hold on. .
