| here is that guy that ate the yellow drake. to think it only took me 3 years to get him. everytime i saw him i thought about how nice of a fish he is. finally! to think that these guys are the small holdovers is kinda ridiculous......except they are! i didnt get any of the real monsters but i got caught 2 beautiful, fat and nice fish. this made my day! he almost ran me into riffles that dropped off into a pool. if that would have happened...that would have sucked. really odd thing was another brown about his size swam down from upstream to see what all the hub-bub was about. i think he thought he was eating pellets. he swam up right next to him. i might have been able to grab him! when that fish saw me he freaked out. he was another nice holdover about the same size. not the biggest on a dry to date.....but my favorite. |

this guy ate a beadhead crystal white bugger. he ran me downstream about 4 holes. spooking at least 3 nice fish. that was fine with me, cause i had him!  this fish i have never seen before and i was sure glad to catch him. beautiful holdovers in there and they are so very wary. he jumped out of the water at least 5 times and eventually gave in. its funny how the rainbows dont fight as hard as these guys. its aslo amazing how strong they are after you release them. he dug up a big pile of dirt as he swam away. really nice looking fish. |
