Pap Paw. It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife and discussing fly fishing Kettle Creek. My husband and I met you at Ole Bull Park in mid May. Did the conditions improve any after the 19th?

That's the way the breeches is. I've been fishing the same spot for 40 years. Find your spot and stick to it. Obviously you can move around if you want, but usually the fish move into where you are as evening approaches. This year there seems to be more fish than other years, mostly browns.

I fished the regs section this past Monday evening. The sulphers were there and I fished from 6:30 till dark and couldn't see another fisherman the whole time. So you can fish Allenberry without using your elbows, you just need to figure out when to go.

I cross the stream avery day on the way to work. I fish it as much as possible & hit the reg water 90% of the time. I do see other ff's, but seldon fell crowded. The "Run" is a different story. I like it eary in the morning - you usually have your choice of pools. After 8-9 am, though, you might as well keep walking.
