I fished the Special Regs section from the Run downstream to Allenbury from 4pm until dark at 7:30.
Water was very clear, and a little low, and about 51.
Lots of midges and even a few full grown Caddis....... but no risers? I even swatted a few mosquitoes (very strange for winter).
I casted my heart out with a Elk Hair Caddis 18, but no risers for the absolute perfect fly!! I tie them myself! LOL
I switched to a tandem rig of a 14 PT and a 20 Zebra under a strike indicator, but no hits.... and I got tired of mending.
I went to a Chez nymph and did a little Euro nymphing. Short line, upstream short cast, hold rod high and bounce the bottom.
I caught 3 white suckers and 4 beautiful rainbow trout.
I saw a few adult Caddis hatch, and float downstream.... sometimes fluttering, but the trout just wouldn't rise for them??
Spring in 4 days!!
Regular trout season opens in two weeks!

I am so ready for the top water action.

No pix! I'd sell my camera if I didn't get so used to taking trout pix? I have so many on my Mac, but photobucket just won't take them anymore? Strange indeed! I'm sure that this will make me a liar!!! I'll keep increasing the amount of fish I catch...... you can say anything without pix to prove it!

Tight Lines,

Fish don't seem to rise that much anymore in the yb. Been down there a couple times in the last 2 weeks, saw very few risers.

1wt,

Thanks for report, I was on my way to YB and postponed the trip.
I believe you and your 1wt can bring nice, fine trout and we all here like to see it.
There is many more servers similar to photobucket, you should check them out for you pictures storage.
There are variety of (inexpensive) 10 MP cameras on the market now, don’t live a home without them.

My camera is just fine. If I was buying a new one, the 13.1 mp waterproof Optio is the one I would purchase. And yes, they are all pretty cheap now.
I turned off my photobucket because a member here went to my photos and looked at the 1,000 photos I have listed and gave a couple comments on some of the old ones. I was shocked, so I shut off the share, and the photos disappeared!
I could get photobucket to post again on here, if I wanted to!
But why would I? All the pix are still there on my computer. And all the pix are still on photobucket.
I don't get paid for doing the fishing reports? Will you pay me to post? It's really only spot burning.
I've caught so many big native trout at almost all the central PA streams...... and I have pix to prove it and give me pleasure in the future.
No thanks....... I'll just be a lurker!

Longrods Forever,
1 wt
