I met JackM for the first time this morning and he and I got to enjoy a beautiful little unnamed wild trout stream. Even though the water temps were in the 30s, we were each able to coax 2 fish to wooly buggers.

While that last picture looks like I may be tangling with a trout, in reality, I was captured trying to undo a snag.

Here are a couple more pics. The first is the stream-- the water was raging, but still fishable. The second shows albatross with one of his trouts.

It's very warm. I wear it fishing all winter. By April 22, it'll smell like an old man too.

at least somone did well. I couldn't resist anymore and went to Camp Run on Sat. It started snowing once I got out of my jeep and probably snowed 3 inches in my two fishles hours there... oh I caught one sculpin on my mean jo green. never caught a sculpin before....

The rig went sideways sliding down the hill back to the "main" road. flipping the truck in indian country would have been the end to a perfect outing. I'm going back to california.

Looks like a nice creek, is that normal flow?
By chance is it the unamed tributary to Beaverdam creek in Somerset county?

Flyman,

Definitely not normal flows. I'd say 80th to 90th percentile if I had to guess. We're both anxious to get back there when the stream is a little calmer and the fish are looking up for drys.

The stream does actually have a name, but I'd rather not post it. It does not flow into Beaverdam Creek.
