Your fly is indeed a little black stone fly. I wouldn't quite go as far as saying its tiny
They were out on a stream I fished over the weekend.

fished the Tobyhanna Creek. i fished a black stone fly imitation, as well as some different caddis dry fly imitations sizes 16-20 . i fished a black caddis, black caddis emerger, olive caddis emerger, and one nice size bow chased a gray caddis as i twitched it across the top but missed the fly. i hooked up with a Brownie, for a second, on a black wollybugger.
Saw only many 7 rises, but they were big. the Stoneflies would settle on the water and flutter across. the movement of the stoneflies, and the rainbow chasing my dry fly, led me to believe that the few rises i saw were trout going after the active stoneflies. there was enough stoneflies to attract more trout but i feel due to the colder water temps the trout were hugging the bottom. only 2 of the 7 rises were the same fish. would warmer water temp's have caused more of a feeding frenzy?
