What did you think of Genesee Fork? Does it look like it harbors 20 inchers?

Beast Brown, I know your question was directed at Squatch, but i fished Genesee Forks a few weeks ago at the mouth and all i caught was a stocked rainbow that strayed up from pine, but it certainly looks like it has the deep water and large pools to harbor some big browns. I do think a lot of locals fish it, as I saw a spin fisher and a lot of footprints when I was there.

Hard to say. At the mouth, DEFINITELY. It's deep water where it flows into pine and upstream of that. I struggled to find access that wasn't on posted land though, so I can't speak about the water upstream. I'd love to fish the entire 8 or so miles of Class A water, but it seems everyone has their land posted.

Most of the Genesee Forks is posted. I haven't fished it much since the late 90's. It did hold some very nice browns in spots.

Ah, posted, thanks for the info everyone. Yeah, I always heard about that stream, but never knew it was heavily posted. Maybe the upper Pine would be a good place to look for bigger wild fish.

I'm curious Sas...how many other fishermen did you see on the small streams?

Zero. Absolutely none.

I thought that there was one fisherman on Lyman (he was parked where we parked at the QG Summit) but it turns out it was a few New Yawkahs hiking. I parked below them and ran into them on my walk upstream.

There was also a dude walking a dog off leash at Mill Creek one morning. That scared the crap out of me. I was fishing a hole, next thing I know I see a big black shape come running through the woods towards me! I was relieved when I saw a collar on it and a waging tail.

Other than that, not a single soul. That's kind of the point, too. I don't go up to Potter/Tioga to see body pollution.

A few streams that I wanted to fish but I just didn't have time were Cross Fork (fished at the QG Summit, but we all know how fishing was at the QG Summit) and a tributary to First Fork Sinnamahony called "Logue Run". I found that stream on a drive my family took while looking for the elk herd one rainy day. My mom's maiden name is Logue, and there aren't a whole lot of us left, so I will definitely go and fish this stream, and catch a brook trout out of Logue Run in memory of my grandfather!
