Thanks TDB. You guys were right that jacket is absolutely bombproof. Fished right in the break of dawn when the temp was a mere 27 degrees and all i had on was a sweatshirt underneath and i was fine. I like how its completely windproof. I dont even have to wear a vest with the jacket, theres so many pockets. -Kev

Fisherboy,I should have known that jacket was a Sims product, they are top notch.Where did you get the great price on that and do you know if it is still available?
Many years ago I used to fish the Pequest and other NJ streams as they stocked quality fish compared to Penna. at that time.Used to fish the lower part closer to Belvidere and really liked that area.Don't know if that hatchery existed then but that was some time ago ,like 50 yrs.

It was an ebay steal, it was used once to wear out to a family gathering. Came with the tags and bag it came in. Was like brand new. Jacket is awesome.

My friend and I fished the Pequest yesterday 2/11 from 1 until 4 PM. The fish were in a frenzy. Feeding in a big way. there were midges and BWO's coming off strong and we hooked (between us both) over 30 fish. Lost several due to size 20 to 24 hooks, but that didn't matter.

Made me want to go out today, but I wasn't going to push it. Was the calm before the storm I guess. Unreal for February.

Fished for 2 1/2 hours this afternoon at the Pequest. Midges, BWO's all over, verry little luck. Had two rainbows on and lost them. Seemed perfect, but the fish didn't like what I was presenting... Out again tommorrow, just haven't decided where yet.
