Had a chance to hit the Octoraro Creek today from about 2 - 4:30pm. I was fishing San Juan Worms, Wooly Buggers and the famous tied egg in the regulated area from about 30 - 800 yards West of the 472 bridge.
No rises, no bites and I didn't even see a fish. Not even a bait fish :( Oh well, other than the lack of aquatic life, the creek looked very clear and its level was about average for this time of year. I think I'll hit the regulated area West of Pussyville Rd next time. Yes, Pussyville Rd.

I'd have to guess that stream suffered last year due to the flooding and continual rain. I know from reading reports on this board that it is a productive stream. Again, last year was very difficult on a lot of streams with moving fish, lies, aquatic life, etc.

That's for sure. I had no luck on the Donegal about a week ago, as well. I did see a nice trout under one of many trees that seem to be attracted to the Donegal. I lost more flies during my adventure than my previous 3 outings!!!!! I hate that creek!!!
