Got there around 11:30 met Foxgap there. Water was crystal clear, I mean crystal crystal clear. No clue on water temp. Had awesome flow. When I got there Foxgap had already landed a sucker, foul hooked but landed. I started with a lightning bug fly, had a bunch of hits on fly and strike indicator nothing landed. Switched to a green micro globug same results. Foxgap hooked another sucker but in the mouth this time. Covered from the bridge by the hatchery all the way down to the covered bridge with hits but nothing landed. I swear I am gonna put a hook in my BioStrike inicator. Even tried Copper Johns and a BH White Woolly Bugger nothing. Then at dusk on a whim Foxgap tied on a small streamer of his own design. stripping it through the slack water in all the pockets on the opposite side of the Fly Shop. BAM!!!!!! 4 hits 1 landed. So he had another one for me to use. Tie it on bam, 3 hits 1 hook up but he took me under a downed tree and threw the hook.We worked the slack pockets going upstream. Every pocket multiple hits with a couple of hookups. I ended up landing nothing but had some hookups and still learning the art of streamer fishing. Foxgap ended up landing 4, 3 nice bows and 1 heck of a brown trout. Almost forget, we saw a huge racoon. Looks like it was hit by a car and was not gonna make it cops came out and some great people managed to get it into a dog carrier to get it to a vet. Was not rabid , just hit by a car and could barely walk let alone climb a tree.

Nice report Daman. We had a great day on the water but the fish only bothered us for about the last hour. Great time with a new fishing mate! Let's do it again.

BTW, it took everything I had to keep Daman from fishing the little enclosed pool next to the shop. He saw fish and was about to go to war. Just kidding!

Neat report. Thanks!
(I edited the title to include the county fished, which we request for Stream Reports.) Dave W
