Worked in the morning and being a mile away.......Weather clear with a light breeze; water painfully low and clear, temp- 58. Rain is desperately needed! Again mostly caddis, but a few stones and midges; only a couple risers spotted. Fished deep with pupa and soft hackle patterns and was having a blast with the "leftover fish" until the stocking truck arrived. I admit I joined my brother who was in the thick of the meat hunters and caught a silly number of fish before I got bored and moved on. The problem was the truck brought out dozens of guys that weren't interested in the "fished out" creek. BTW, for reference purposes, I managed to land a dozen nice trout before the truck arrived in about an hour and a half. On the way home I stopped at Rapp's Dam Rd. and there was a circus around the covered bridge. Wend downstream a little ways and took two from the first good run I found. Hit some other runs, but they were way shallow for this time of year, and produced only chubs. Shrugged and hiked back to my truck and called it a day. Nice out, and I got a lot of exercise!

Fished DH/FFO section today Easter Sunday. Stream not crowded due no doubt to conflicts with other forms of religious services. Air temp 68, did not check water, which remains "painfully low and clear." (Hat tip VC above). Caught a nice stocked rainbow as did my brother in law, plus several members of the chub family on beadheads and caddis dries/emergers, although hatch activity for the afternoon was almost non-existent. Some rises but to this pair of polarized lenses they appeared to be chubs and were sporadic. There are definitely some fish in there, and what a gorgeous day to be out.
